Algebraic Geometry in Cryptography at the turn of the XX–XXI Century
Abstract
The paper presents the application of algebraic geometry to cryptography. In the first part we cover some basic issues, such as elliptic curves, then present the various cryptographic systems based on elliptic curves. At the end, we show some examples of applications of these methods to protect the information used in the modern world.
