The somatic build versus the sports result of boys aged 12 training tennis in Podlaskie Voievodoship.
Those who practise the professional sport have to fulfil physical requirements of a particular discipline they train referring to their motor abilities, psychological condition and their somatic build. The physique of a competitor is not substantial and the only one factor which impacts on the level of gained sports results, but it is one of the essential element which determines the process of development of the sports level .
The aim of the research was the assassination of the somatic build and defining its dependence with the sports result of male tennis players aged 12 who are training in sports clubs.
Material and method:
The research was carried out in a group of 19 male tennis players aged 12 training in sports clubs. To estimate the somatic build of tennis players the basic parameters were used: the height, the bodyweight, the water content and the body fat index.
The analysis of the results of research of parameters of the somatic build defined on the base of direct measurement demonstrated differentiation of values of tested tennis players. The correlation analysis, which was carried out between the results of percentage of the content of the adipose tissue and the results in the tennis tournament showed there is statistically significant dependence between the results of research.
Conclusion: The correlation research between the percentage dependences of the adipose tissue in the organism and the tennis tournament results showed that there are statistically significant dependences. The results of research demonstrate the need to conduct current, operational and phased controls taking into account a bigger group of training, which allows to define dependence between the style of playing and the sports results in searching for directions to optimise the training process.
